Calling all RN's!

Christ Lutheran Preschool is looking for a RN that would like to be our Nurse Consultant.  It is a paid position with the following responsibilities:

Job Description – Nurse Consultant

Responsibilities –
-         supervise administration of medications to students
-         verify appropriate paperwork is completed for medication administration
-         verify expiration dates of medications and notify parents
-         train staff to properly administer medications
-         consult with teachers and aides regarding student health and behavior issues
-         meet with each teacher every other month , schedule meetings to accommodate AM and PM class schedules
-         consult with staff and parents on special circumstances as needed (i.e. diabetes)

Supply Lists

Preschool (3's), PreKindergarten (4's) and Junior Kindergarten
  • 2 large boxes of unscented baby wipes
    • Jr Kindergarten only: 2 large boxes of tissues, instead of wipes
  • 1 box Crayola washable markers
  • 1 box crayons (not jumbo, please)
  • 6 Elmer's glue sticks
  • 1 Elmer's glue bottle
  • 2 sets of washable water color paints
  • 3 dry erase markers (preferably skinny)
Kindergarten
  • 1 box Crayola washable markers
  • 1 box crayons (not jumbo, please)
  • 1 Elmer's glue bottle
  • 8 Elmer's glue sticks
  • 2 (3-pronged) pocket folders (1 blue, 1 red)
  • 1 large box of tissues
  • 2 boxes of unscented baby wipes
  • 2 healthy non-perishable, peanut-free snacks to share (Goldfish, Teddy Grahams, pretzels, etc.)
  • 3 dry erase markers

Thank you!!

Kathy and I really want to thank the church members, church staff, preschool staff, and of course the preschool families for all the support and offers to help!  Everything is moving along nicely but it feels so good to know everyone is working together to make this a great year.

Welcome Back!

The office opens officially at 9:00AM on Monday, August 15 - we can't wait to get back in the swing of things!  Also, be looking for a postcard from your child's teacher in the mail shortly!

Upcoming dates to remember:

August 31: PreK, JrK, and K Meet and Greet Open House 10-12 noon for morning classes and 12-2
PM for afternoon classes - full day students come to the morning!
September 1: Preschool mini-visits - look for more information on your postcard!
September 5: No school - Labor Day
September 6: 1 hour orientation for all Preschool classes from 9:30-10:30 and 1:00-2:00 (for PM class)  Parent orientations at the same time (optional for returning families).  AM/PM JrK and K classes begin!
September 7:  All PreK classes begin!
